People around the globe have enjoyed Leandro Manzo’s work. His paintings and drawing have been featured in 25 solo exhibitions and close to 50 group exhibitions in art galleries and museums. “My work is intended to make you feel the miracle of life and the beauty of feeling it intensely,” Manzo says.

Enjoy works from small format to huge canvases from his “Pacific to the Atlantic” watercolors series, “Requiem in White and Black” series, “Taming the Bull” series and more in this 10-year retrospective.

Join us on opening night, Friday, November 20 from 5:00 to 10:00 pm. The vast gallery space at the renovated Merino Mill allows for social distancing. The gallery is located at 500 S. Main Street in Mooresville.

Leandro Manzo: Origen will run until Friday, April 9, 2021. Gallery hours are Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 3 pm to 8 pm or by appointment.

I feel very happy and honored to be participating along with XEspacio in FACA 2018, sharing with prestigious colleagues Fernan Pizarro, Alejandro Ibarra and Sachiyo Kaneko.

FACA (Argentine Contemporary Art Fair), exclusively dedicated to Argentinian and Latin American Its first edition will take place from Thursday, May 25th through Sunday, May 28th, 2018 at the Argentine Hippodrome of Palermo, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The fair has the EXHIBITION as the main section and also involves various strategic points of the HAP venue forming a comprehensive proposal that includes various languages and artistic supports, such as video, music and performance, offering the visitor a dynamic tour and representative of the contemporary art scene.

Para esta ocasión fueron seleccionadas unas cincuenta obras, todas ellas despojadas de los colores, cumpliendo y respetando el uso del blanco y negro.

Los artistas fueron invitados a presentarse con su obra en tonos monocromos. Cada uno con su impronta, técnica y estilo demuestra al espectador que el color no siempre es necesario. La presencia y ausencia de luces y sombras son claves en el momento de transmitir sensaciones en una atmósfera donde predomina la ausencia del color.

Colección Blanco & Negro exhibirá obras de arte clásico, contemporáneo y moderno en modalidades de pintura, escultura y fotografía en diferentes formatos.

LaCa Projects debuts Mar de Mares, a solo exhibition featuring Argentinian artist, Leandro Manzo. In his second solo show at LaCa Projects, Manzo compiles a diverse body of work embodying erotic, natural and spiritual themes.

Mar de Mares demonstrates the enormous breadth and depth of Manzo’s work, which spans more than 30 years. Moreover, the range of genres—from vibrant landscapes and portraits to imagined black and white images—is testament to his versatility as a figurative expressionist artist.

Latin American Contemporary Art (LaCa) Projects is pleased to present Mar de Mares, an exhibition by Argentinean artist Leandro Manzo. A talented figurative expressionist painter, Manzo offers a dynamic perspective evocative of LaCa’s belief in art’s ability to articulate universal experiences among diverse cultures.

Mar de Mares, Leandro Manzo’s second solo exhibition at LaCa Projects, will include works from his monochrome series, which Manzo considers the backbone of his ouevre, as well as a new series of watercolors which he created based on his recent sailings from the Pacific to the Atlantic Oceans and through the Panama Canal.

This range of genres is testament to Manzo’s versatility as a figurative expressionist. He exposes the unique and essential perfection that exists in every object, working above reason to reveal the beautiful unity and order that lies beyond the physical. Manzo’s paintings reflect his general belief in the interminable nature of discovery. Along this philosophical trajectory, he dismisses all previous encounters and reproductions of a subject in order to deliver a uniquely new representation each time.

The inaugural edition of CONTEXT New York will take place May 3 – 8, 2016 in Manhattan. The fair will join Art New York at Pier 94, located on the Hudson River at 12th Avenue at 55th Street. A VIP Private Preview will kick off art week in New York City on Tuesday, May 3, before Frieze’s opening. CONTEXT New York and Art New York will be open to the general public, May 4 – 8. CONTEXT New York will provide collectors with a leading alternative fair to acquire important works of contemporary art.

Like its hugely successful sister fair CONTEXT Art Miami, which launched during Miami Art Week in 2012, CONTEXT New York’s open atmosphere will create meaningful dialogue between artists, galleries and collectors while providing the ultimate platform for the presentation of mid-career, emergent and cutting-edge talent by emerging and established galleries. The fair will feature eighty international galleries, vetted by the CONTEXT Selection Committee. CONTEXT New York will provide a unique and alternative opportunity for leading primary dealers and their artists to be marketed and promoted internationally during one of the most important weeks for contemporary art in New York City.

LaCa Projects proudly presents Collective II: Latin American Perspectives, an exhibition celebrating its third anniversary and showcasing a stellar line-up of Latin American contemporary artists, including Carlos Estévez (Cuba), Juan Dolhare (Argentina), Leandro Manzo (Argentina), Vicente Hernández (Cuba), Ricardo “Chino” Morales (Costa Rica), Alicia de la Campa (Cuba), Otto Apuy (Costa Rica), Cristina Toro (Puerto Rico), and Juan Carlos Verdial (Cuba). March 24 – June 4, 2016

Work by studio artists Luis Ardila (Colombia) and Rosalia Torres-Weiner (Mexico) will also be debuted for the first time and featured in Collective II.

The works in this dynamic, large-scale exhibition demonstrate a dual endeavor to reveal complex elements of Latin American culture while also exposing the individuality and unique experiences of each artist. Themes at play include philosophy, religion, anatomy, astrology, fantasy, and architecture, bringing a breadth and depth of contemporary styles that are rarely but beautifully married.

SCOPE Art Show returns to the sands of Miami Beach for its 15th anniversary edition, amidst tremendous support from the City of Miami Beach, an unprecedented outpouring of critical acclaim from press, curators and collectors, and a digital and social media outreach campaign that garnered over 300 million impressions, including praise in The New York Times, Forbes, Artnet, Artinfo, The Huffington Post and The New York Post, amongst other publications.

SCOPE Miami Beach’s monumental pavilion will once again be situated on historic Ocean Drive to welcome 45,000 visitors over the course of 6 days. Over 125 international Exhibitors will present groundbreaking emerging work, alongside SCOPE’s Breeder and Featured Programs.

Latin American Contemporary Art Projects (LaCa) Gallery announces the opening of Collective, with an opening celebration taking place on Thursday, March 26.

Collective features close to fifty works by nine renowned artists from multiple Latin American countries, and celebrates LaCa’s two-year anniversary. The works in this exhibition feature an array of styles and mediums, including charcoal, oil and acrylic on canvas, pastels, mixed media, and ceramic. The show will also feature brand-new works from some of the participating artists.

“This is a dynamic show that presents an excellent cross-section of works by artists whom we feel represent some of the best Latin American artists, will appeal to the masses and to many different tastes.”

Artists featured in Collective are Roberto Marquez (Mexico), Cristina Toro (Puerto Rico), Leandro Manzo (Argentina), Jeannine Marchand (Puerto Rico), Vicente Hernandez (Cuba), Juan Carlos Verdial (Cuba), Alicia de la Campa (Cuba), Santiago Quesnel (Argentina), Juan Dolhare (Argentina), Otto Apuy (Costa Rica), and Ricardo “Chino” Morales (Costa Rica).

LaCa Gallery was founded in March 2013 with a bold vision of becoming an international resource for contemporary Latin American art and culture. Since its inception, LaCa has featured more than a dozen artists, ranging from emerging to established and Master level. Through these presentations, LaCa Projects fulfills its mission to present superior examples of art that broadly exemplify the rich and influential art originating from Latin American artists and also which challenge existing perceptions of Latin American art. Furthermore, its recently-opened artist studios, where Latin American artists work through a hybrid studio/residency program, will pave the way for innovative programming, direct access to artists and artistic development, and community engagement in conjunction with the gallery. LaCa Projects will embark on the third phase of its development later in 2015, an authentic Latin American cafe, which will complete its approach to creating an innovative, culturally-focused, world-class center for contemporary art.

An exclusive, opening event to celebrate Collective and LaCa’s two-year anniversary will take place on Thursday, March 26 from 6-9 p.m. at LaCa Projects Gallery. The celebration will include presentations of Latin American cuisine, dance, and music.
Collective will be open from March 19 through June 5. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.

2015 ArtPop Billboard Winners was announced. Leandro Manzo is he top vote-getter for the 2015 Arts & Science Council’s ArtPop Billboard program.

Leandro Manzo’s “Milonga alegre” was the top vote-getter in the Arts & Science Council’s ArtPop competition. He is one of 20 artists whose work will be displayed on billboards in the region during 2015.

Latin American Contemporary Art Projects (LaCa) is proud to announce the July 31, 2014 opening of Eternal, an exhibition featuring the work of Argentine artist Leandro Manzo.

Eternal brings together the most prominent body of Manzo’s figurative expressionist paintings created over the last eight years on two continents. These paintings showcase Manzo’s spontaneous trademark approach and process, inundated with energy, movement, and dynamism. Manzo’s creations come from a cityscape, moment, or emotion, often featuring Charlotte’s cityscape or neighborhoods, captured in a playful, vibrant palette that is ever-eternal and creating an imaginative scene that continues long after the edges of the works. The exhibition will also feature Manzo’s drawings, which are woven throughout the entire production and feature his distinctive mark.

Manzo is a studio artist born in Rio Gallegos, Santa Cruz, Argentina, and had his first group exhibition at the Museo de Artes Visuales de Quilmes by the time he was thirteen years old. Since then, he has had more than twenty solo exhibitions across the globe and close to fifty group exhibitions. He holds the distinction of receiving permanent U.S. residency for Exceptional Aptitude in the Field of Arts, and has works in numerous public and private collections, including at the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach, California.

An exhibition opening with the artist will take place on Thursday, July 31 from 6-9 p.m. at LaCa Projects.

El jueves 5 de julio, a las 19 hs, quedarán abiertas al público las salas de Espacio Urbano Contemporáneo, la primera galería de Puerto Madero.

Con la muestra “Dvuelta” integrada por esculturas de Jardiel Valente y por pinturas de Leandro Manzo, quedará inaugurada la segunda muestra del año de la galería Espacio Urbano Contemporáneo.

Las salas de esta galería, primera en Puerto Madero, están situadas en Pierina Dealessi 508, esq. Trinidad Guevara.
La galería estará abierta, a partir del viernes 6 de julio, de lunes a sábados de 11 a 20 hs. Y domingos y feriados de 15 a 20hs.
